Our center aims to promote development in the fields of basic science research and translation medicine by establishing a system of bioinformatics technologies at internationally leading levels and prospects for widespread application. In recent years, with the development of genomic sequencing technology, the center has established second- and third-generation sequencing platforms, including the Illumina NextSeq and PacBio SMRT sequencing systems. We are currently offering sequencing and data analysis services on genome resequencing and assembly, methylome analysis, transcriptome sequencing, and transcription factor binding site sequencing. In addition, the Center has developed multiple mature analytical platforms in the fields of CRISPR sgRNA design, statistical models in the recognition of biological sequences, protein structural and biological function analysis, and molecular network construction. Our center’s focus is the development of machine learning and data mining algorithms that can provide efficient and rapid information and technical services for application in life sciences and biotechnology, as well as in related fields such as biology, agriculture, medicine, environment, aquaculture, etc., in Qingdao and surrounding areas.
