Academic History
Her research mainly focused on deeper exploring the regulator of the cardiac apoptotic pathway, paying close attention to the role and regulation of the non-coding RNAs particularly micro-RNAs and long non-coding RNAs, which might have therapeutic and diagnostic potential in the management of CVDs. She is currently working toward understanding the molecular mechanism of aging, mainly focused on identifying the epigenetic contributors and determining their impacts on organismal aging by using high-throughput and real-time sequencing technologies. Her works can be referenced in over 60 peer-reviewed publications, on which she is the first or corresponding author in 16 of them. She is currently serving as a PI in 2 research grants funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Her long-term career goal is to serve the community as a physician-scientist specializing in cardiovascular medicine.
